Ethiopian Centre for Development
The Ethiopian Centre for Development is a women-led Non governmental organization established in 2004 under the Authority for Civil Society Organization (ACSO) holding the registration number 1186, Proclamation No. 1113/2019. ECD was established with the mission of furthering Ethiopia's economic and socio-cultural development through community-based, results-oriented and value-adding interventions. Through this, ECD works tirelessly to provide better access to life-transforming opportunities for children, youth and women. ECD has over 22 years experience across various sectors of development including quality education, job creation, youth empowerment, gender equality, humanitarian action, peacebuilding and conflict resolution. ECD retains physical presence in Oromia, Amhara, Southern Ethiopia Region with operational presence extending to five other regions including Benishangul-Gumuz, Somali, Central Ethiopian Region, Harrari and Tigray.
