On June 5, 2026, ECD reached an exciting milestone! We officially welcomed our new Youth Advisory Board, a group of bright, passionate young people who will help shape our interventions. From getting to know one another, to learning about our projects, to diving into their first task, the energy in the room said it all. The day kicked off with a warm welcome from our Executive Director, Haregwein Ashenafi, who spoke about why youth engagement is so central to advancing sustainable development. Our project managers and officers then walked the board members through ECD's ongoing projects and programs, giving them a real sense of the work we do and the impact we're creating together. At ECD, we believe that empowering the next generation cannot happen without the active participation and meaningful engagement of young people. This Youth Advisory Board will play a vital role in making sure that youth voices, perspectives, and ideas help shape the programs and initiatives that affect their future. We're excited to work alongside these young leaders as partners in driving positive change and sustainable development.
