The Ethiopian Center for Development (ECD) welcomed the DNO and Plan International Ethiopia teams to our TVET Center in Nifas Silk for a meaningful day of learning, reflection, and collaboration under the DANIDA SP2 Urban Refugee Response. The visit showcased four years of ECD’s impact through the program from strengthening skills and employability to supporting youth-led businesses and creating pathways toward sustainable livelihoods for urban refugees and host communities. The ECD team shared key achievements, results, lessons learned, and the stories behind the work, including products developed by youth-led business groups supported through the program. The visit also provided space to reflect on the proposed 2027 Sustainability Framework and discuss how the progress and impact achieved over the past four years can be sustained and built upon. We are proud to reflect on four years of partnership, learning, and impact, and remain committed to advancing sustainable opportunities for refugees and host communities.
